Joliot Curie as an advisor to the French Atomic Energy Commission. During World War II, he was the only foreign scientist in the defense research institution of the French Center for Scientific Research, working together with Lang Zhiwan on sonar research. The new theory established for the study of equilibrium states of large and small ions is known as the “Langevin Wang Dezhao Briga theory” in the international academic community. He returned to China in 1956 and became a researcher of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 1958, he began to engage in research in underwater acoustics, and from forming a team to conducting research, he did a series of foundational work, cultivating a group of advanced research and technical talents, and making outstanding contributions to scientific research, national defense, and technological modernization in this field.

In 1945, Wang Dezhao was awarded the Yu Ge Award by the French Academy of Sciences. In 1981, he was awarded the Honorary Medal by the Association of French Speaking Countries in Western Europe. In 1983, he was awarded the Honorary Medal by the Mayor of Paris. That same year, he visited France at the invitation of French President Mitterrand.

2. Wang Daheng

Male, born in February 1915, from Suzhou, Jiangsu. Expert in Applied Optics and Instrumentation. Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and CAE Member. He once served as a deputy to the 12th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, a deputy to the 3rd to 6th National People’s Congress, and a member of the 3rd and 7th CPPCC National Committee. The current Honorary Chairman of the Chinese Optical Society, Honorary Chairman of the Chinese Instrument and Meter Society, and Honorary Chairman of the Chinese Metrology and Testing Society.

Wang Daheng is one of the founders of China’s optical industry. Guide the successful development of various optical observation devices. Since the 1960s, China has produced its first laser, the first large-scale optical measurement equipment, and numerous national defense optical instruments. In the 1970s, he presided over the formulation of the first national remote sensing scientific plan and led comprehensive aerial remote sensing experiments. In March 1986, Chen Fangyun, Yang Jiachi, and Wang Ganchang, three scientists, jointly proposed the proposal of “developing China’s strategic high-tech” to the central government. As a result, the State Council issued a notice on the “Outline of the High tech Development Plan”, which was called the “863 Plan”. In 1995 and 2000, in response to the severe situation of the lagging development of China’s instrument and meter industry, several academicians jointly proposed suggestions and conducted research on the national instrument and meter industry, writing special research reports and development policy recommendations, which effectively promoted the development of China’s instrument and meter technology and industry.

Wang Daheng won the title of National model worker in 1979; Received the National Science and Technology Progress Special Award in 1985; In January 1995, he was awarded the 1994 Ho Leung Ho Lee Fund Excellence Award; In 1999, he was awarded the “Two Bombs and One Satellite Merit Medal”.

3. Yang Jiachi

Male, 1919.7-2006.6, from Wujiang, Jiangsu. Expert in aerospace technology and automatic control, expert in instrumentation and automation, and pioneer of automatic detection. Academician of the International Academy of Astronautics and CAS Member. He has successively served as Deputy Director of the Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Director of the Beijing Institute of Control Engineering, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Space Technology, and Chief Engineer of the Ministry of Aerospace Industry. Formerly served as Executive Vice Chairman and Honorary Chairman of the Chinese Instrumentation Society, and Chairman and Honorary Chairman of the Chinese Automation Society.

Yang Jiachi has long been committed to the development of science, technology, and aerospace industry in China. He participated in the formulation of China’s space technology development plan and was one of the experts of the Chinese Academy of Sciences who carried out early space technology research. Led and participated in the development of China’s first artificial Earth satellite attitude measurement system. He is the designer of the space technology subsystem and has proposed a series of advanced and feasible design ideas in the scheme demonstration and technical design of China’s return satellite attitude control system. The return satellite attitude system and data analysis indicators developed by the leader reached the international advanced level at that time. Guide the development of major scientific research projects such as detection technology and equipment required for atomic bomb explosion testing.

Yang Jiaxi was awarded the title of model worker by the Ministry of Space in 1984; Received the Special Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award in 1985; Since 1990, enjoy special government allowances; In 1991, he was approved by the Ministry of Aeronautics and Astronautics as an old expert with outstanding contributions; In 1995, he won the Chen Jiageng Information Science Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; In 1999, he was awarded the “Two Bombs and One Satellite” Meritorious Medal and the He Liang He Li Foundation Science and Technology Progress Award in the same year.

4. Motherland Light

Male, born in January 1931, from Jinxi, Liaoning. Expert in optics and instrumentation. CAS Member, Academician of the Third World Academy of Sciences. Member and international advisor of the American Optical Society, previously elected as Vice President of the International Council of Optics (ICO). Honorary Vice Chairman of the Chinese Instrumentation Society and Chairman of the Tianjin Association for Science and Technology.

Motherland Light has long been engaged in research in optics and applied optics. In the fields of white light optical image processing, optical pattern recognition, machine vision, color restoration of faded films, archival storage of color films, color photography and display of black and white films, recognition of three-dimensional targets using Fresnel holography and serial code filtering, false color encoding, and optical neural network patterns and their applications in recognition, important new concepts and technologies have been proposed, developing the discipline of modern optical information processing. Design and develop various new optical instruments and devices, such as the “White Light Optical Image Processing System”, “Optical Correction Mirror for Color TV Picture Tube Coating”, “Optical Projection System for Air Defense Warning Radar Signal”, “Cone Axis Deep Ellipsoid Cold Reflector”, etc.

Mu Guoguang has successively won the title of National Young and Middle aged Expert with Outstanding Contributions, the second and third prizes of the National Invention Award, the third prize of the National Natural Science Award, the exemplary individual in Science and Technology of National Universities, the first prize of Guanghua Science and Technology, and the Science and Technology Progress Award of the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation in 1998

5. Jin Guofan
